VACATION AND HOLIDAYS

A minimum of two weeks' notice of provider's vacation will be provided when possible to enable parents to obtain other care during that time. The parent is responsible for finding back up care. Two week (10 days) of provider's vacation are paid vacation. Please understand and please remember that vacation and days off are necessary to avoid provider burnout. Full payment is expected for the parent's vacation. Please give me the courtesy of at least two weeks' notice when you are planning vacation so that I can revise our scheduled activities. The following days are paid holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after. When a holiday falls on Saturday the Friday before will be taken as the paid holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday I will be closed the following Monday with pay. Each year I reserve the right to take 5 paid personal days and 5 paid sick days. I may not always take these days, but I like leave the possibility open.
